Q. What are the benefits of using Security
Monitor Pro?
Security Monitor Pro is professional video surveillance software
designed to monitor large and complex areas such as parking lots, shops,
offices, warehouses, etc. Security Monitor Pro supports simultaneous
monitoring from multiple cameras.
Q. How many cameras can be monitored
simultaneously?
You can use 8 IP cameras and any number of locally attached cameras
simultaneously.
Q.Can I schedule monitoring to start
automatically?
Monitoring with alerts can be scheduled individually for each
camera. The schedule can be individually configured to begin monitoring
at application start up, once, daily or weekly.
Q. What is the ‘Recording’ feature?
You can choose to record either from one camera, or from all cameras
simultaneously. When recording is turned on, all video from the
camera(s) is saved as files. This is useful when you need to track all
events, regardless of whether motion is detected. For instance, you
might want to record all activities on a sales floor to review later.
Recording continues until it is manually stopped.
Q. Is there a way to track various
activities and events while monitoring?
A log is kept for each camera. The log records all events, such as
starting or stopping monitoring, starting or stopping broadcasting,
motion or noise being detected, files being uploaded, snaps being taken,
etc.
Q. Can I use Security Monitor Pro to view
my cameras over the Internet?
Security Monitor Pro can broadcast video from any or all of the
configured cameras, and audio from any microphone, including microphones
built into USB and FireWire cameras. The broadcast is a standard Windows
Media stream, and can be viewed using any PC over the Internet. The

Q. Which IP cameras can I use with Security
Monitor Pro?
Security Monitor Pro will automatically work with almost any USB or
FireWire connected camera, and with many analog cameras using many video
capture cards.
The list below shows the IP (network) cameras and video servers which
have been tested with Security Monitor Pro and are known to work. If
your network camera is not listed, please
