Q. What is DVD Author Plus?
DVD Author Plus is a program that creates and copies data CDs and
DVDs.

Q. What kinds of discs can I create using DVD Author
Plus?
DVD Author Plus can create any kind of standard CD and DVD, including
single- and double-layered discs and single- and double-sided discs, as
well as mini-discs.

Q. What is a disc image file? What can they be used
for?
A disc image file, also called an “ISO file”, is an exact image of all
the data on a CD or DVD. By storing an image file on your hard disk, you
can create copies of a disc without having the disc itself, and can
create multiple copies of a disc more quickly than by copying directly.

Q. Can I copy a disc if I only have one drive?
Yes. DVD Author Plus can copy a CD or DVD even if you have only a
single drive. Simply insert the disc in the drive and click “Copy Disc”.

Q. What are ISO image files, and how can I use them?
An ISO image file is a snapshot of the data and layout of a CD or DVD,
saved in ISO-9660 format. ISO image files are widely used for storing CD
content on hard drives. ISO is the most common CD image format.
The most common use of an image file is to write it to a blank CD-R or
DVD-R. This produces an identical copy of the original disc. The new
disc has the same files, folders, and volume label information. Image
files can also be attached to Windows as "virtual' discs, and treated
exactly like a physical disc in a drive.
Copying an ISO file to a new disc does not create a
duplicate of the original disc. You can only create a DVD or CD from an
image file by using software like DVD Author Plus. To create a disc,
click
Actions >> Burn Image or double-click the ISO file.
