Converting VOB to AVI - Xvid Compressor locks up

The VOBs are not encrypted. They are from a DVD that I created.

I am trying to convert from VOB to AVI. It seems to get through almost the entire process, then it quickly opens a window to XVid and locks up the DMC program where it will not respond.

I am using Vista, if that matters.

Is there a fix for this?

I would suggest reinstalling the Xvid compressor. There are many versions of Xvid, and we have found problems with some of them. The version we recommend can be downloaded from our web site:
