Setting dimensions in Custom MPEG movies

I am editing .mpg files (adding fades) the original mpeg has dimensions of 352x288 I would like to be able to keep the size once I export the new movie. The problem is what ever profile I use custom or preset the output movie stretches to something like 426x288. Please Help!

If you are using Windows Media Player 8 or 9 then the dimensions being reported might be incorrect for MPEG2 files. Try opening the file in Windows Media Player 6 and see if you are getting the correct dimension. This problem is not applicable for MPEG 1 files.
