You can convert DVR-MS files on Windows XP PCs. You need to update your Windows XP with the latest service pack (SP2). You also need to install DirectX 9c or higher. Once you install this, you should be able to convert DVR-MS files.

Using your conversion software, I am able to add a .wmv file for conversion without any problem, but when I add a .dvr-ms file for conversion it is rejected with the following error message:

"Some of the streams in this file are in an unsupported format"

Help!

Thanks in Advance

To convert a DVR-MS file to other formats supported by Digital Media Converter you require:

1. A Windows XP PC ( SP 2 )

2. DirectX 9C

3. MPEG 2 Decoder
You can download a free MPEG 2 decoder from the following link:

4. Windows Media Player 9 or higher

If you are using DCCHECK (decoder diagnostic utility) then make sure that you have set Elecard as the preferred decoder.
