I downloaded the trial version to test out converting from dvr-ms to DivX, which I understood the product can do, but I have been unable to find the option for DivX. I'm not overly familiar with the way the codecs (?) work. Is it an option under the options... for AVI? If so I couldn't find it.

Thanks

DivX is an AVI video compressor (codec). To convert to a DivX, you must select AVI as the "Convert To" format. You can then go to AVI settings and select DivX from the "Video Compressor" dropdown.

I don't have any DIVX option to select. On the properties tab for AVI, the only Video Compressors listed to select are:
DV Video Encoder
Indeo video 5.10 Compression Filter
MJPEG Compressor
Cinepak Codec by Radius
Sony DV software CODEC
Intel Indeo(R)Video R3.2
Indeo video 5.10
Intel IYUV codec
Microsoft RLE
Microsoft Video 1
Techsmith Screen Capture Codec
Uncompressed

Thanks

For Digital Media Converter to list DivX in the list of available video compressor, you must have DivX (player) installed on your computer. You can download DivX from divx.com.
