hey. I just converted a dvr-ms file to an avi. I played it and all is well except there are like pixel blocks in the screen. Everything isn't as clear as before when it was dvr-ms

any ideas?

Thanks

Digital Media Converter supports many compressors and each compressor has its own set of properties that may result in varying video quality.

In our tests, we have found the following settings that will improve the quality.

1. Use the Indeo or Cinepak video compressors. They offer the best quality
2. Reduce the Key Frame Rate to 8 frames or lower for better AVI seeking
3. Keep the Frame Rate as close as possible to the original video's frame rate
4. Keep the AVI video dimension same as the original video
5. Increase the quality setting to between 80% and 90%
6. Select uncompressed audio
