Using Green Screen with Jasc Animation File

I have used Jasc Animation to create an animation and I want to add it (superimpose?) to live-action video that I filmed. When I try to add the dragon (animation) to the live-action (people), the background from the dragon is black, even though I used a transparent background in Jasc. How can I get rid of the black background so that the real-live people in my video are seen? I'm new at this, but trying hard!

Jasc Animation Shop creates animated GIF files. Video Edit Magic does not recognize transparent layers in GIF files.

Please recreate your animation using a solid color background. Use the Chroma Key Color effect to superimpose your GIF over the live action. We have published an article on using the "Green Screen" effect, which you may find helpful. You can read it here:
