We have a project in which we need to make an FTPS connections to a Serv-U ftp server.

When we connect on the internal network we are able to connect fully. However, when we connect through our PIX firewall it connects OK right up to when the LIST -aL command is issued then the connection hangs.

The PIX has the following ports open to the FTP servers public IP:

20
21
1000

Please assist.

There are two types of FTP connections supported in Auto FTP Manager, active mode and passive mode.

If you are getting a hang on the list command, changing the Active/Passive mode settings should fix it.

Edit your quick or automated profile, select the tab for the FTP connection and uncheck the box marked 'Use Passive Mode'.
