I'm using an IP camera - it is a generic model bought from a local store. I am not sure which profile to use in the Add New Camera wizard. The one I have looks similar to a Foscam camera, but it does not have a name on it.

If you contact the manufacturer of the camera, you may be able to get the URL of the video stream. If this is available, you can use the Generic IP Camera profile in WebCam Monitor. More information about using the generic camera profile can be found here.

Since you mentioned that the camera looks similar to a Foscam, you can try our other surveillance software, Security Monitor Pro, it supports the full line of Foscam cameras.

I also suggest trying the Trendnet and Shenzen camera profiles. One of these may work with your camera.
