ERROR: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
MEANING: This error usually occurs when an invalid host name/IP address or port number is specified in the profile properties for the FTP server. In such a case, it is recommended that the user verify the relevant connection details of the desired FTP server.

ERROR: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or the established connection failed because the connected host has failed to respond.
MEANING: This means "Connection timed out". This error usually occurs when no reply is obtained from the remote FTP server for the period specified by the user as the timeout period in the profile properties. If the internet connection speed is slow, then it is recommended that the user specify a greater timeout period.

ERROR: No such host is known.
MEANING: This error usually occurs when the DNS service is not accessible to the local host machine.

ERROR: Any error with a numeric code at the start (Example: 530 Invalid userid/password.)
MEANING:These errors are returned from the FTP server and the user needs to check out FTP account configuration at the remote FTP server.
