I have a problem with converting DVR-MS recording from TV, when I convert this file I seem to lose a small portion of the picture at the bottom of screen.

This problem happens when the frame dimension change in the video. Digital Media Converter determines the dimension of the conversion using the very first frame of the video. If the frame dimension is less than other frames in the video then the conversion ends up losing some portion of the video.

To fix this, you have to change the way you record the videos. Try looking up a solution for switching off Variable Bit-rate Encoding.

Having tried every version of free software and those that are available as trial downloads, with no luck, I was curious to know your status...

Thanks
