Can I use Auto FTP Manager to monitor a PC folder and run the file transfer process when a file is renamed?

Auto FTP Manager can start a file transfer whenever a file in a monitored PC folder is changed. This can be done using the On Folder Change option in the Scheduler.

First, create an automated transfer profile using File >> New Connection Profile. On the create connection profile dialog, select the Automated Profile option and move to the next page. Enter the FTP address, port number and authentication details required to establish a connection with the FTP server. On the action rules page, select the option to upload or download files from the FTP server.

Next, click on the Configure button under the Schedule Transfers section. Choose the On Folder Change schedule option. Using the Browse button, select the folder which you want to monitor for changes. Select the check box to perform a transfer when a file is modified or renamed. You can also add a wait time after a file change is made with the help of Wait N minutes before starting transfer option. Click Ok and the next button to finish the settings.

Whenever you rename a file in the monitored folder, the file transfer will start after the specified wait interval.
