I have a WMV file encoded @ WM8 Video for DSLCable Delivery (500kbps 320x240 30fps).

I am using Video Edit Magic to add a fade and delete some video.

Now, if I make a movie with the same codec as above the file is compressed and some quality is lost.

How do I make a new WMV file with the same quality as the original WMV file? Is there a way to make a WMV movie that is uncompressed (i.e. uses the quality of the original)?

To produce good quality WMV movies, you can select a profile with higher bit-rate. Try using "Video for broadband NTSC (768 Kbps)" which outputs a 320 x 240, 30 fps video at 768 Kbps. Video Edit Magic's timeline accepts all video, audio and image formats and treats them in the same way. It is therefore difficult to keep the original setting of any one file present in the timeline
