I have a Sweex JA200010 IP camera which I am trying to setup within Webcam Monitor although am getting an error when trying to save. Its not in the list of cameras therefore I specify that it is a Generic Camera.

I have entered the correct IP address, Port number, specified the URL as http://IP_ADDRESS:8080/Jpeg/CamImg.jpg

When I click OK, it comes up with:

Unable to obtain the JPGEG stream from the IP camera settings. Make sure that the settings are correct before continuing. Do you want to continue adding the IP camera anyway?

I say Yes and it returns me to the previous form but it does not add the camera to the list.

Thanks,
Ark'

The problem is due the URL you have specified. You have to remove the "http://IP_ADDRESS:8080" part and give only "/Jpeg/CamImg.jpg". That should solve your problem.
