Hi - new user stuck at the first hurdle. I am getting a high pitched screech as soon as I connect my recorder by USB and press capture. I have tried deselecting nearly all the codecs in compatability and the capture function works fine on ImageMixer. It told me on one occasion that the profile was not correct but I cannot see anything in the settings which is not right. I am using a JVC GR D93. Would be grateful for some help to get started. Thanks

The screech is probably feedback, caused by Windows detecting the microphone on your camera and playing its sound through the speakers.
You can avoid this by either turning down the microphone volume in the Windows sound control, or placing the camera further away from the PC speakers.
