When I Make Movie to AVI using Xvid, I get the message "Statsfile not found"

When I Make Movie, choosing AVI (for editing), I get to Output File Properties and click Next and I get an error message- "Statsfile not found". After I click OK on that, it starts making the movie ("Please wait while your movie is being created"). The progress bar never starts.

I tried reinstalling the software, it didn't help. Any help would be appreciated.

The "Statsfile not found" error is generally caused by an incompletely-installed AVI compression codec. The commonest problem is with the Xvid codec.

You can solve the problem by reinstalling the Xvid compressor, which you can download here:
