WebCam Monitor 6.28

Disabling Motion or Noise Detection

If you want to monitor only the motion then you can either disable the audio device or disable noise detection.  However, if you want the Video/Audio Recording alert to record video with audio but you don't want the alert to be triggered on noise, then keep the audio device enabled and just disable noise detection.

Similarly if you want to monitor only for noise, then you can either disable the video device or disable motion detection.  However, if you also want to view the video preview while doing noise detection then keep the video device enabled and just disable motion detection.

Disabling Motion Detection

  1. Make sure that the video device is not disabled.  If disabled then enabling/disabling Motion Detection will have no effect.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options
  3. Select the Monitoring
  4. Clear the DetectMotion option.
  5. Click OK.

Disabling Noise Detection

  1. If Monitoring is in progress then on the Monitor menu, click StopMonitoring first.
  2. Make sure that the audio device is not disabled.  If disabled, then enabling/disabling Noise Detection will have no effect.
  3. On the Tools menu, click Options
  4. Select the Monitoring tab.
  5. Clear the DetectNoise option.
  6. Click OK.
