Auto Movie Creator 3.26

Cut, Copy, Paste and Remove

Cutting, Copying, Pasting and Removing are used to arrange clips on the Storyboard in Auto Movie Creator.  The same Cut, Copy, Paste, and Remove operations work on Transitions as well as Clips.

NOTE:  None of these operations affect the original files.  They affect only the way the clips appear in the Auto Movie Creator Storyboard.

Cutting

To cut a clip in the Storyboard simply select it by clicking on it.  From the Edit menu, select Cut or press Ctrl + X on the keyboard.  This is a way to move clips from one location to another on your Storyboard.  A cut clip remains on the Storyboard but appears shaded.  Refer to the image below.

Clip: After Being Cut

When a single clip is selected, a cut operation will cut the selected clip.  When multiple sources are selected (by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on them), all are cut.

Copying

Copying a clip does not cut or remove it from the current location on the Storyboard.  This method creates a duplicate of the clip.  To copy a clip or transition, select it, open the Edit menu and select Copy or press Ctrl + C on the keyboard.  When a single clip is selected then a copy operation will copy it.  When multiple sources are selected (by holding Ctrl key and clicking on them) then all are copied.

Pasting

A Cut or Copy command is usually followed by a Paste command.  Pasting a cut or copied clip places it on the selected/active cell on the Storyboard.  To paste, go to the Edit menu and select Paste or Ctrl + V from the keyboard.

Note:

When multiple clips are cut or copied using multi selection, they are all pasted one after the other, starting from the selected/active cell in the order, in which they were placed while cutting or copying.

Removing

To remove a clip/image from the Storyboard, select it by clicking on it.  From the Edit menu select Remove or press Del on the keyboard.  When a single clip is selected, it is deleted.  When multiple sources are selected (by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on them), all are deleted.
