My Screen Recorder: Controlling Windows Appearance

Controlling Windows Appearance

My Screen Recorder allows you to change the Windows appearance before you begin the screen recording. These settings are restored after the recording is completed. Disabling these settings could result in much smoother screen recordings and better playback. To change the appearance:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Settings.
  2. Select Performance tab.
  3. Check the options you want and click OK to apply the settings.
  4. Click on Default to restore to original settings.

For smoother recordings, check the following options:

  • Check the Disable windows graphics effects option if you do not want windows effects like animated menus to display while recording.
  • Check the Disable the "Show window contents while dragging" option if you do not want the contents of a window to be visible while dragging a window.

Use the following options to control the look of your screen recordings when they are played back:

  • Check the Set plain desktop wallpaper option if you do not want a flashy wallpaper to appear in your screen recordings.
  • Check the Disable screen saver option to prevent the appearance of a screen saver while the recording is played back

Note: Set plain desktop wallpaper option is not available on Win98.
