My Screen Recorder: Changing General Settings

Changing General Settings

Click on the Tools >> Settings >> General to enable the following features:

Options

Hide My Screen Recorder when minimized: If you select this option, My Screen Recorder minimizes to the task bar when you start the screen recording.  You can choose to hide it while a screen recording is going on.  When hidden, nothing is displayed in the task bar. It is only visible as a system tray icon.

Play Video after the recording is complete: This default option allows you to view your screen recording after you have completed and saved it.

Display the countdown counter when starting a screen recording: When you start a screen recording, a countdown timer will be displayed on the screen by default.  The timer will count down the seconds that are left for your screen recording to start.

File Save Options

Ask for file name after the recording is complete: When you complete your screen recording, you need to enter a file name to save it.

Assign file name using the following rules: This option allows you to specify a file name prefix for your screen recording.  By default, the file name is Video.  You have the option to automatically specify the file name and save the screen recording.  To enable auto generation of File Names you can either select Append sequential numbers or Append date and time to the file name.

Append sequential numbers to the file name: To make the file name unique, you can Append sequential numbers.  So if the file name is Video then recordings would be named as Video1, Video2 and so on.

Append date and time to the file name: This option allows you to specify the date and time to the file name.  You can have all your screen recordings organized according to the date and time.

Working Folder

The files created during your screen recording are stored in a temporary folder on the C drive. In the above figure, the files are stored in C:\Users\Testuser\AppData\Local\Temp.  You can click on Browse to select a different folder to save the temporary files.

Reset Messages
