Audio Tuning Wizard

The Audio Tuning Wizard helps you set the playback and recording volume levels. Close all other programs that play or record sound. Make sure that the speakers or headphones and the microphone are connected properly before running the Audio Tuning Wizard. To run the Audio Tuning Wizard:

1. On the Tools menu, click Audio Tuning Wizard.
2. On the welcome screen, click Next.
3. Adjust the level of the playback volume to the desired level using the slider.
4. To check the level of the volume, click Test.
5. Click Next.
6. Select whether you want to record from the microphone or from speakers.
7. Specify the audio device that you want to use for recording audio from the Recording devices box.
8. Click Next.
9. If you have selected to record from microphone, adjust the level of the recording volume to the desired level using the slider.
10. To check the level of the recording volume use the Record, Stop and Play buttons.
11. If you have selected to record from Speakers, run Auto Select to select the best line for speaker recording.
12. You can also specify the line to use for speaker recording by using the Let me select the line for speaker recording.
13. Click Next.
14. The audio tuning has been completed. Click Finish.
