Recording Video without Audio
When an audio device like microphone and speaker is connected, audio is recorded as the screen is captured. You can choose to record the screen activity without audio. Eliminating audio from your screen recordings results in smaller file sizes.
Click Tools >> Settings >> Recording.

You need to uncheck the Record Audio option to record your video without audio.
Capture Options
When you record the screen, by default, the mouse cursor is captured. You can use the mouse cursor to highlight text or to point at the items while making a presentation, tutorial, demonstration etc. However, you can disable it by deselecting the option Capture mouse cursor while recording. Along with the cursor, translucent windows that appear on screen can be captured in the recording by enabling the option Capture translucent windows. This option helps to preserve the translucent effect of the windows in the recording. For example, a notification window that appears to alert users of new events can be captured in your recording.
You make a recording but may not want the entire media file. Your requirement is only a few minutes of the last part of the recording. Save only the last few minutes of your recording, by specifying the number of minutes, in the Save the last "x" minutes of recordings option.
The option Highlight borders when recording custom regions, is used when you record a part of screen. After you have defined a region to capture, the area to be recorded is highlighted in green. You can adjust the capture dimensions in the Region Selection box. As you record, flashing green border-marks plot the area that is being captured.
You may wish to record fast moving videos. Select Boost screen recording performance to capture videos played on YouTube or any media player. This option helps you to create a good quality video when recordings things like real world video or flash animations. .
Note - This option results in more CPU usage.
Select Audio Recording Device
You can capture the audio from your speakers and the microphone at the same time (Windows 7/Vista). Add narration to your screen recording by speaking into the microphone. You can include the sounds from the computer with the help of speakers. For example, if you want to capture your favorite music playing on the PC during your screen recording, you can select the speakers. Recording the audio from the microphone along with the speakers, allows you to record internet chat or any multimedia applications and add your own narration to it.
Setting up Time-Lapse Recording
Continuous recording captures a lot of unnecessary footage. With time-lapse feature enabled, you can capture frames at a predefined time interval. When you now playback your recording, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing. For example, one frame may be captured every second, and played back at 30 frames per second. The result would be an apparent increase of speed by 30 times.
Note - Audio stream is disabled during Time-lapse recording. If you need to add audio narration, you can do it after the recording process.
