Settings
To change the program's settings, click Tools >> Settings.

Rip DVD Plus's settings are divided into three areas.
Player Options
Disable screensaver when DVD is playing: Use this option when you are playing DVDs using the Preview, to prevent the screen saver from appearing and interrupting your viewing.
Use minimum CPU when playing video. Give priority to ripping: You can select this option, if you have a slow PC or running too many applications. This option allows you to distribute the CPU resources evenly, while ripping at the same time.
Note: If you choose this option, the playback will be affected and may seem slow or inconsistent.
Enable Hardware Acceleration (this option is visible in Windows 2000/XP): All modern PCs use special video chips which can speed up video playback. Generally to watch DVDs, you should use hardware acceleration for full-motion video without overloading the PC's CPU. However, if you are experiencing problems with playback, you may wish to experimental by turning this setting off.
Actions to perform after ripping is completed
There are two types of action that Rip DVD Plus can take after ripping.
For Windows: You can direct Windows to Hibernate, Stand By, or Shut Down after ripping.
For DVD Drive: You can choose to Eject DVD after ripping. The drive will automatically open and eject the tray when the rip is complete.
Photo Preferences
These settings affect capturing frames from the DVD in the DVD Viewer.
Photo Format: You can choose to save captured photos as Portable Network Graphics (PNG), Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG), or Bitmap (BMP) files. The default is JPEG.
Save in: Use this setting to choose which folder captured photos will be saved in. Browse to select the folder. Click Open to open the Destination folder in the Windows Explorer.
Restore Defaults
If you press the Restore Defaults button, all Rip DVD Plus settings are returned the original values they had when the program was installed.
