Disabling Motion or Noise Detection
If you want Alerts to be triggered only by noise, you can either disable motion detection or disable the video device. If the video device is disabled, no video will be recorded, so if you want to record both, disable only motion detection. Similarly, if you want to trigger Alerts when motion is detected but want to ignore sound, disable either the audio device or noise detection.
Disabling Motion Detection
- Make sure that the video device is not disabled. If disabled then enabling/disabling Motion Detection will have no effect.
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- Select the Monitoring tab.
- Clear the Detect Motion option.
- Click OK.
Disabling Noise Detection
- If monitoring is in progress then on the Monitor menu, click Stop Monitoring first.
- Make sure that the audio device is not disabled. If it is, then enabling/disabling Noise Detection will have no effect.
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- Select the Monitoring tab.
- Clear the Detect Noise option.
- Click OK.
