Date/Time and Text Stamp
By default, all videos recorded by the Video/Audio Recording alert are watermarked with the date and time when they are recorded. Snaps taken by Take Snaps alert are also watermarked. This feature can be turned off completely.

To turn off date and time stamp:
- Select the camera for which you wanted to turn off this feature by clicking on its preview window and click on the Camera Monitoring Options button (on the preview and monitoring control bar of the camera or on the tool bar).
- On the General tab, uncheck Add a Date and Time on Video Recordings at.
- Click OK.
You can also change the Date/Time stamp to show only the date, only the time, or to display either or both in a different format.
By default, the text is displayed in white. If white text is not easily visible, you can change the color.
A text stamp (up to a maximum of 25 characters) can be added to all video recordings and snaps taken. One possible use of this feature would be to help identify recordings, for instance by stamping them with "Back Door Camera" or "Front Hallway". Select a camera and click Tools >> Camera Monitoring Options. Check Add a Text on Video Recordings and Snaps. Enter the text in the box provided. Use the drop-down list to choose a position for the text, then click OK.
As with Date/Time, you can change the color of the text.
To return all Date/Time and Text Stamp options to the settings they originally had when the program was installed, click Restore Defaults.
