Text Speaker: Interface Language

Interface Language

Text Speaker's interface can be displayed in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.  To change languages, click Language.

This is Text Speaker's File menu in English and in German:

File Menu - English

File Menu—English
  File Menu - German

File Menu - German

All of the text displayed by the program will display in the selected language:  menus, dialog boxes, window titles, etc.  The exception is the program's User Guide (this Help file), which will always display in English.

Changing the interface language does NOT translate documents.  If the program is set to Spanish, opening an English language document will not translate the document into Spanish.

Changing the interface language does NOT change the way words are pronounced.  Pronunciation is controlled by the Voice.  To have Text Speaker pronounce words in a language correctly, install and use a native Voice for that language.  Professional voices speaking English, French, German, and Spanish are available from DeskShare.
