I thought you might be interested in reading an Anchorage Daily News Front Page story of 2/9/06 entitled "Webcam catches burglar...." (see www.adn.com) describing the use of a webcam and motion detection software to thwart and catch a burglar. The webcam was a Logitech Orbit MP and the software was WebCam Monitor 3.5.

It is exactly what I have been wanting. It records live video when motion is sensed, uploads images at a defined interval, streams live video, and is affordable. I am extremely excited about the possibilities of this software.
