Recording a Window
This option lets you specify a window to capture. To record a window:
- On the File menu, point to Region and then click Window. You can also use the shortcut CTRL + W.
- On the File menu, click Record to start recording. My Screen Recorder Pro minimizes itself before the recording is started. You can also use the keyboard shortcut key to start recording. By default, this key is F8. The My Screen Recorder Pro Finder Tool window will be launched.
- Choose the window you want to capture by clicking on the Finder Tool icon and dragging the tool over the windows on your screen. As you drag the tool over a window, it is outlined in red. To select the currently outlined window, simply release the mouse button.
- Work normally while the window is recorded.
- There are two ways to pause the recording:
- Use the keyboard shortcut for pausing recordings. By default, this key is F8.
- The My Screen Recorder Pro icon is visible in the system tray by default. Right-click the icon and select Pause Recording.
- After pausing the recording, you can resume recording using:
- Use the keyboard shortcut for resuming recordings. By default, this key is F8.
- The My Screen Recorder Pro icon is placed in the system tray by default. Right-click it and select Record.
- When you have completed your work, you can use these two methods to stop the recording:
- The keyboard shortcut for stopping recordings. By default, this key is F9.
- The My Screen Recorder Pro icon is placed in the system tray by default. Right-click it and select Stop Recording.
- To cancel recording:
- Use the keyboard shortcut for stopping recordings. By default, this key is F10.
- The My Screen Recorder Pro icon is visible in the system tray by default. Right-click it and select Cancel Recording.
- After the recording is complete (stopped), the video and audio is merged and displayed in the selected Folder shortcut. Use the built-in player to preview the recording.
