Q&A: Tips from our Support Forum
    1. Video Edit Magic: Can I cut and join 4 different video files?
      Q. Can I cut and join 4 different video files?
I need to edit about 5 min from each of 4 .AVI files, then put the 4 5-min sections together into one .AVI, save it and output to a VCR (even if I need another program to do that) to get the thing onto VHS tape.
Can the program let me do that? Any info would be appreciated.
      A. You can easily cut out portions of videos using Video Edit Magic's powerful timeline split tools. You can then mix a number of videos or portions of videos on the timeline.
After finishing your editing project, you can choose to make movie in all popular video formats.
If you are able to connect your VCR to your PC via a Analog to Digital (Capture) card then you can try using Video Edit Magic's Export to DV Camera feature available from the Tools menu.

Featured Article : Reducing File Sizes
Size does matter. These 3 words ring especially true for video files. Big video files fill up your hard disk, slow down your PC, get too big to copy to another machine, and are almost impossible to distribute over the Internet. This is in spite of a rapid enhancement in storage technology, increase in bandwidth, and availability of multiple storage options like large hard drives, DVDs and VCDs.
Simply put, a typical video continues to occupy ‘too much space’.
Today, with multiple information sources catering to different requirements, there are a host of video formats available. These video formats differ in their ability to provide quality at optimum file size. This article aims to discuss these file formats along with the ways in which you can significantly reduce file sizes for these formats.
