I know I have to convert my AVI files to Windows Media Format. What software do you recommend to encode these files and then to publish them to my VideoDesk account?

If you want to capture and convert your videos and publish them on VideoDesk then DeskShare's Video Caster is for you. This software provides you with all the options to capture from DV/Web camera, to convert existing files to Windows Media 9 and to publish them to your VideoDesk account.
If you need to edit your videos before publishing them then DeskShare's Video Edit Magic is your tool. This software's simple select, cut, copy and paste features make it possible for you to precisely edit your videos. The ability to add effects, text, transitions helps you decorate them.
If you have a large number of files that you want to convert before publishing them then use DeskShare's Digital Media Converter. Along with the ability to convert to MPEG and AVI files, this batch-conversion software converts video and audio files from all popular formats to Windows Media 9.
