Security Monitor Pro: Configuring FTP Settings

Configuring FTP Settings

To configure FTP Settings:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Application Settings.
  2. Select the Remote Monitoring tab.
  3. Under Upload, click Configure.
  4. Specify the upload details and click OK.

FTP Server Settings

Specify the FTP Address, User Name, Password, Port and the FTP folder to upload into.  Use the Test Connection button to see whether Security Monitor Pro can connect to the server and locate the folder you specified.

Use Passive Mode for FTP connection

This option is mostly required when you are connecting to the FTP server via a proxy.

When you connect to the Internet using a proxy server and you receive a "425 Can't open data connection" or "500 Invalid PORT Command" error during an upload, enable this option.

Upload What

You can check Audio/Video Files and/or Snaps depending on what you want to upload.  The Overwrite Snap File with the name is useful when continuously updating an image on a web site.

Upload Behavior

Check the Enable Automatic Upload option.  You can choose to upload Immediately after media file creation or specify a period in hours and minutes by checking the After every option.  When After uploading, delete media files from this PC is enabled, Security Monitor Pro deletes files from your local computer, freeing disk space.
