WebCam Monitor: Taking Photos Periodically

Taking Photos Periodically

Use this alert when you want to take photos periodically (at regular intervals).  When you are monitoring a child or pet from your workplace, you can use this alert to reassure yourself that everything is fine by receiving emails containing updated photos.  This alert is also ideal when you have a website that displays an image taken by your webcam.  You can use this alert with the upload feature, to periodically refresh the image at regular intervals.

  1. Under Run Alerts, select the option After every.
  2. Specify the time in hours, minutes and seconds (hh:mm:ss) under the After every option.  This is time after which you want the alert to be triggered.
  3. Under Which Alerts do you want to run? check the Take Photos option.
  4. Click Configure to open up the settings window.
Learn more about configuring the Take Photo alert...
  5. Click OK.

After this alert is selected and configured, you can start monitoring.  The photos are saved in JPEG format.
