How do I make text fade in and fade out on my video?

I would like to make a title effect that fades in and fades out.

How do I do this?

It is easy to perform fade in and fade out effects with text on your video.

First, create an image of your text using Microsoft Paint or another photo editor. Place your text image on Video Track 1 and your video on Video Track 2.

Add the Chroma Key Color Transition to the transition track. Use the eyedropper to select the background color of the text. Make sure to move the color similarity slider all the way to the right. This will make the background of the text transparent.

Now, add a Fade In effect and a Fade Out effect to Effect Track 1.

Preview the video, you will see the text fade into the video, and fade out.
