Im cutting a movie in half and rendering the first half. the whole movie is only 700mb but when im finished the half movie is 30gb!

I go to make movie and select AVI(recommended for editing)
I keep all of the settings standard
528x256 video dimensions
Automatically convert dimensions to the nearest multiple of 4 is checked
Best quality
MJPeg compressor
FPS 24
Key Frame rate 8
Quality 90
audio uncompressed
audio frequency is 44.1

any ideas?

You need to use compression to reduce the size of the movie. Instead of creating an AVI file, make the movie to a Windows Media Format (WMV) type. The settings with lower bit rates will provide smaller files. Choose a bitrate that provides the smaller file size, but still maintains the viewing quality that you desire.
