How do I add clips?

What is the best way to add clips to the timeline so that I may edit the movie that I am trying to create? How do I do this? Keep in mind that I am still using the trial version, I just downloaded it today and it looks like it has potential to be a good program I think I'll purchase.

Adding a video clip can be accomplished by selecting File ] Open File. Once the video is in the Collections window, you will need to drag it to the timeline. Then you can start editing the video.
