Auto Movie Creator 3.26

Opening and Saving Projects

An Auto Movie Creator project is a file that contains the following information:  which media files have been added to the collections, what clips are on the Storyboard and with what duration, and the effects, narrations and transitions that have been added.  The Project file does not contain actual media files.  It contains only the locations of the files.  If a file used in the project is moved or deleted after the project is saved, the next time you open the project, a missing file icon and the name of the file will be shown.  Such a file cannot be used by Auto movie Creator.  You must either find it using the search feature or remove it from the project.

To open a project file, double-click on it.  You can also open a project by launching Auto Movie Creator and using File > Open Project or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + O.  If you are working on a project and open a different project, you will be prompted to confirm your decision and save the project that you are currently working on.

Saving Projects

To save a project that you have been working on, simply click File > Save Project or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + S.  If you are saving the project for the first time, you will be prompted to give a name to your project file.  To save your project file under a different name, choose File > Save Project As and give it a new name.  An Auto Movie Creator project file has the extension '.amc'.
