Video Edit Magic Express 4.11

Capturing Media from Analog Devices (Windows 98 only)

By default, Video Edit Magic Express's integrated capture tool uses DirectShow (part of DirectX) to capture footage from attached USB and FireWire devices.  On Windows 98 (and 98SE), DirectShow does not support capturing from Analog devices.  For this purpose, Video Edit Magic Express provides another capture tool specifically for Windows 98 that uses the older Video for Windows (VFW) technology.

To use this capture tool (only if it is available) go to the Tools menu and click Analog Capture.

Capture method and capture settings discussed in this section may vary depending on your Operating System, Capture Device Make and configuration.  You may be presented with a more limited set of functionality than the ones discussed in this section.
