It seems like DMC is almost constantly using 100% of my system resources. I have 1 gig of ram, 72 gig hdd, and intel xenon 2.4 gig processor.
This occurs even while the only programs open are the bare necessities. My hdd is about 1/3 full.
Is there something i'm doing wrong, or is there something i can check?
I've been trying to convert some .vob files to .avi
Before this, i was converting the .vob files to .wmv

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Converting video from one format to another is a very processor-intensive task that requires a lot of mathematical calculation. In order to finish the job as quickly as possible, Digital Media Converter uses all the CPU time that is available.

The software is designed so that if another program needs to use system resources, DMC will release them. If no other tasks are using them, it is designed to use as many resources as are available in order to convert your files as fast as it can.

Oh, OK. That's good to know. I have noticed that while even though, a lot of resources were being used, I have been able to do most anything else simultaneously.
Thanks for the help!
