What is the maximum size of a video I can burn onto a DVD?

Hello,

I have been using DVD Author Plus for some time now, and I have found it an excellent product.
I have used it to burn to DVD films of long duration, utilising the long play facility.

Using a standard 4.7 GB disc on long play what is the maximum duration of a film that the user can safely burn?

DVD Author Plus offers several different compression settings to match the length of the movie you are trying to burn to DVD. You can use the video quality settings in the DVD Video Options to select the length of the movie you are trying to burn.

The maximum length of a film you can burn to DVD is 3 hours. When creating the disc, choose the Super Long Play option. Please see this page for a list of all the options:
