I want to take snap shots every 30 to 60 seconds. I am using Sony DCR-TRV50E as video source.

Thanks.

To take snap shots every 30 to 60 seconds:

1. Under Automatically Alert Me, select the "Periodically after every" option.
2. Specify the period in Hours, Minutes and Seconds.
3. Make sure that the Take Snap alert is selected from under Which Alerts do you want to run?
4. Click Configure to change the settings of the Take Snap alert.
5. Change the desired settings and click OK.
6. Click the "Start Monitoring with Alerts" button to let WebCam Monitor take snaps periodically.

I am trying to do the same thing but 'Start Monitoring' fails with a message 'Monitoring was not started because Motion and Noise detection were disabled'.

But I am not interested in monitoring using motion or noise detection. I just want an image taken every minute and uploaded.

Please make sure that you are using the latest version of WebCam Monitor. To download the latest version, visit:

If you already have the latest version then make sure that you have "Periodically after every" option selected from the "Automatically Alert Me" group under "Quick Settings".
