Hi, when i am trying to edit a WMV file, i start with a file size of 3.33 MB and after removing a portion of the video, the smallest filesize i can seem to produce the same image and sound quality as what i started id 32 megs as a AVI file with Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V2 compression for video and MPEG Layer-3 compression for audio

what can i do to get the size of the files back down to 3.33 mb and keep the same audio/video quality as the original?

Make sure that you select a dimension closest or same as the file you are editing. File size will increase significatly because of:

1. Width and height of the file
2. Frame rate of the file
3. Quality of the file
4. Compressors used (only for AVI)

For AVI compressors, we suggest that you use Auto Select to select the most compatible compressors.

Video Edit Magic also has an option to save the file to the Windows Media 9 format. In Make Movie, select a profile that is closest to your original file's dimension. You should be able to get a movie with similar file size as compared to your original file.
