WebCam Monitor 6.28

Configuring DNS Server

WebCam Monitor automatically detects your DNS Server Settings.  DNS is used by WebCam Monitor to resolve domain names to an appropriate SMTP (mail) server IP address while sending an e-mail.  You can configure a different set of DNS servers than the ones used by Windows.  DNS server IP addresses specified in the list are used in order, one after another.  If one fails then the next is used.

To configure the DNS server:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options
  2. Select the RemoteMonitoring
  3. Under DNSServer, click Configure
  4. Click Add, Remove or Edit to maintain the list of DNS Server IP addresses and click Up or Down to change the order of DNS Server IP addresses.  You may also click AutoDetect to detect the DNS Server settings used by Windows.  If required, contact your network administrator.
  5. Click OK.
