My Screen Recorder Pro 2.67

Record Using Multiple Monitors

With My Screen Recorder Pro, you can take full advantage of having two monitors on your computer.  The program can record in two different ways, each of which has its uses.  You can either record from one monitor that you select, or record both at once.

Recording from one monitor can be ideal when you want to both record, and continue working.  For instance, you might want My Screen Recorder Pro to capture everything that's happening in a server console, or recording a web conference or Internet TV show, on one monitor.  Meanwhile, you can continue to work on other projects using the other monitor.  You can choose which monitor to record from using the Multiple monitor recording settings on the General tab of the Settings window.

Here you choose which monitor to record from, or Entire Screen if you want to record both.

One warning: If you make any changes on the Performance tab of the Settings screen (such as turning off hardware acceleration or changing the display settings during recording) then multi-monitor mode will be ignored.  If Performance settings are important, you'll have to change them manually in Windows.

If you select Entire Screen your recording will include what happens on both the monitors, side by side in a single movie.  The recording will have the width of both movies combined, and the height of the taller of the two.

Certain people use multiple monitors all day.  If your work uses both monitors, you'll often need to record everything that happens on both screens, and My Screen Recorder Pro can be invaluable.

One very useful trick you can use with a two-monitor system is to record a tutorial or presentation using a script.  Set the one monitor (let's say the left one) to the settings you want for the recording.  For example, you might set the left-hand monitor to 800x600 resolution.  Then, in a window in the other (right) monitor, you can display your script.  This lets you read from the script on the right while demonstrating something on the left.  If you need to scroll down in the script, just pause the recording by pressing F8 while you work in the other window, and press it again to restart the recording.

My Screen Recorder Pro puts you in complete control as you record from either one or both monitors.  The power and flexibility of your dual-monitor system coupled with My Screen Recorder Pro helps you create even better tutorials and demos with ease.
