Wipe Categories
Auto Movie Creator has several wipe transitions. These transitions are divided in 11 categories. Lets have a look at how these wipes alter your video clips.
Wipe

The second clip (as a whole, without a shape mask) wipes off the first to occupy the screen completely.
Triangle Wipe
![](trianglewipe.jpg)
The second video clip appears in a triangle and replaces the first.
V-Wipe
![](vwipe.jpg)
One clip appears within a "V" to replace the other.
Sawtooth Wipe

The wipe has a jagged, saw-like edge.
Special Wipe

This transition lets you select from a variety of shapes like key, star etc.
Arrow Wipe
![](arrowwipe.jpg)
The second clip fills an arrowhead shape that replaces the first.
Shape Wipe
![](shapewipe.jpg)
You can select one of the several geometric shapes to move from one clip to another.
Radial Wipe
![](radialwipe.jpg)
A mask like the sweep hand of a clock moves around the frame, leaving behind it the second image.
Matrix Wipe
![](matrixwipe.jpg)
The first image is divided into a grid ("matrix"), and then the boxes in the grid are replaced by the second clip, one at a time, in various patterns (right-to-left, diagonal lines, etc.).
Waterfall Wipe
![](waterfallwipe.jpg)
Waterfall wipes are very similar to Matrix wipes, but the blocks are larger.
JPEG Image Wipe

Any JPEG image file you want can be used as a transition between the two video clips.
