Auto FTP Manager 5.24

Creating a Scheduled Profile

Perform file transfer tasks on a schedule without manually starting them.  You can use Scheduled Transfers to perform file transfers at times when network traffic is light, or to be sure that your files are always up to date.

A scheduled profile automatically starts any Automated Transfer profile at your desired time.  Scheduling the same automated transfer more than once is also possible.  For instance, you could schedule a transfer daily at a specific time as well as each time when the program starts.  When creating multiple schedules, you should give each a different name.  You can schedule an Automated Transfer Profile while it is being created, or an existing Automated Transfer Profile.  The transfer tasks can be scheduled to be one-time events, or take place on a daily, weekly, monthly, or custom basis.  In addition, you can choose to run the Automated Transfer each time the program starts.

When specifying the action rules for Automated Transfer profile, you can click Configure button for the Schedule.

Make sure the option Enable Schedule is checked so that your automated transfer takes place successfully at the scheduled time.  You do not have to worry about your scheduled transfer even if the windows is logged off or locked at the scheduled time.  Just enable the option Login to windows when required to run the schedule.  It allows the profile to run as a background Windows Task at the scheduled time.  When you enable this option, you need to specify Windows user name and the password.

Choose to run the profile just once, daily, weekly, monthly, or for custom intervals.  Specify the details like the Start date and Start time for the scheduled transfer.  For example, if you choose to run the schedule Weekly, select the days of the week you want to schedule the transfer.  If you choose to perform the task On Application Start Up, the scheduled transfer will start when the program is launched.  You can schedule the same Automated Transfer Profile again to have the transfer repeated at intervals.

A scheduled profile is created and listed under the Schedules section in the Profile List.  Click the profile to view its details: the Schedule Name, Profile Name, time interval ( Perform task ), last state, last run time, when it will run next, state (Enabled or Disabled), and log transfer status.

To create a schedule for an existing automated transfer profile, right click the profile and select Create Schedule for Profile.

Note: Scheduler would run in the background even if Auto FTP Manager User Interface is opened.  That means User Interface is not visible for this schedule while running.  So always enable the Transfer Log option, to see the transfer done.
