E-mailing a Feed

You can share interesting feeds with family and friends easily by e-mailing them using the Active Web Reader's e-mail feed feature.

To e-mail a feed, click on the 'Email this item...' link present below the feed you intend to e-mail.  A message window would be launched.  Specify the recipient's e-mail address in the "To" field and your e-mail address in "From".  Click on Send to send the e-mail.  You will be notified when the e-mail is sent.

If you use a Proxy server for sending e-mails you can configure it in the following manner:

  1. On the Tools menu, click on Settings.
  2. In the Settings dialog, select the E-mail tab.
  3. Click the Configure Proxy Server button.
  4. Check the Use a Proxy server for sending E-mail box.  Specify the Address and the Port number of the Proxy server.  Select the Protocol as Socks v4 or Socks v5.  If your Proxy server requires authentication then select the Authentication Required checkbox.  Now enter the 'User' name and 'Password' for authentication.
  5. Click Ok.
