Finding Words in a Feed or a Web Page

Active Web Reader provides a standard way to find words or phrases in a feeds or web page.  The find function works on the currently open feed or web page.  To find a word or phrase:

  1. On the Edit menu, click Find (On This Page) or use the Ctrl + F shortcut key.
  2. Type one or more words that you want to search in the Find what box.
  3. By default, the find function also finds words that contain the specified word.  Check Match whole word only if this is not desired.  Check Match case if you want to find words exactly in the same case as ones specified.
  4. Select the Direction as Up or Down depending on whether you want the search to begin from the top or bottom of the page.
  5. Click Find Next to search.  The word/words found would be highlighted.

Only the first occurrence of the specified word is found and highlighted.  To find subsequent occurrences of the same word, keep clicking Find Next.
