Adding a New Feed

Some useful RSS feeds come preloaded with the Active Web Reader.  You can access them from the Feeds tab to the bottom-left corner of the AWR user-interface.  You can also easily add RSS feeds of you choice so that you get the latest updates made to websites.

To add a new feed:

  1. Click on the File menu, point to New and click Feed.
  2. In the New Feed dialog, enter the URL of the feed.
  3. Select an Auto-update frequency.  Active Web Reader updates the specified feed periodically after the duration you specify here.  You can choose the frequency as number or Hour(s) or Day(s).
  4. Click Add to add the new Feed.  You can also add a Feed by clicking on the New button on the tool bar.

To add a feed to a particular folder:

  1. Right-click on the name of the folder to which you want to add the feed.
  2. Click on New and then click on Feed.
  3. In the New Feed dialog, enter the URL of the feed.
  4. Select an Auto-Update Frequency.  Active Web Reader updates the specified feed periodically after the duration you specify here.
  5. Click Add.

The new feed appears in the selected folder.

You may even create a new folder and the add the web page to it.  To create a new folder:

  1. Open the File menu, point to New and click Folder.  You may even use the shortcut Ctrl + O.
  2. Enter the Folder Name and click OK.
