| Security Monitor Pro: Configuring FTP Settings |
Configuring FTP Settings
You can use the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) for transferring or uploading video recordings and photos to a server. You can configure the FTP settings to ensure the security of your files by storing them in a remote location. You can also create regularly updated web page events.
To configure FTP Settings, click on Tools >> Application Settings >> FTP Settings

FTP Server Settings
In this section, you can specify the Protocol, type in the FTP Address, User Name, Password and Port. You can login as an "Anonymous User" by selecting the option.
Test Connection: You can click on this option to see whether Security Monitor Pro can connect to the server and locate the folder you specified.
Use Passive Mode: This option is mostly required when you are connecting to the FTP server via a proxy. When you connect to the Internet using a proxy server and you receive a "425 Can't open data connection" or "500 Invalid PORT Command" error during an upload, enable this option.
Upload Behavior for Videos and Photos
You can configure Security Monitor Pro to upload your video and image files to an FTP location for central storage and maintenance. By default, Enable Automatic Upload when Alert Trigger and Immediately after file creation is checked.
Enable Automatic Upload when Alert Trigger: Your video recordings and files will be automatically uploaded to the FTP server, whenever an Alert is triggered.
Immediately after file creation: This option allows you to upload the files to the server immediately after they are created.
Every n Hours and n Minutes: By choosing this option, you can specify a time period in hours and minutes to upload the files after an alert is triggered.
After uploading, delete files from this PC: After uploading to the server, Security Monitor Pro deletes the files from your local computer, thus freeing the disk space.
Overwrite Photo File with the name: This option is useful when you are continuously updating an image on a web site.
